Maxine (Wright) Boydston
Maxine Boydston, 96, of Camden Point, MO passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
She was born on December 15, 1919 to Glenn Jack and Mary Jane (Sharp) Wright near Akron, Colorado. Maxine grew up Haigler, Nebraska and when she was 13 years old the family moved to Dearborn, Missouri. In 1937, Maxine graduated from Dearborn High School.
On March 23, 1940 she was united in marriage to Ernest Raymond “Chig” Boydston. After their marriage they lived in Camden Point where they farmed. Her husband, Chig, passed away, February 22, 2003.
Maxine was a member of the Camden Point Christian Church where she was active in CWF, Vacation Bible School and church dinners. She was also a member of the Living History at North Platte Elementary and the Camden Point Sewing Group. Maxine was the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Woman of the Year.
Maxine was a nurse’s assistant for 10 years at Smithville Hospital.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son Lonnie Boydston; daughter-in-law Marti Boydston; brother Joe Wright; and sister Doris Skinner.
Maxine is survived by her children Randy Boydston and wife Cheryl, Dean Boydston, Carolyn Hepler and husband Charles, and Mary Park and husband Larry; daughter-in-law Linda Sue Boydston; grandchildren Suzanne (Todd) Fuller, Carla (John) Thien, Rachel (Bennett) French, Leigh (Tristan) Wilmes, Angela (Justin) Leonard, Rebecca (Jimmy) Duran, Robyn (Corey) Payton, Josh (Cassie) Boydston, and Ashley Park; great-grandchildren Grant, Wellsley, Ryan, Brady, Ben, Lonee, Gus, Corey, Megan, Tyler, Jesse, Woody, Wesley, Merilyn, Lydia and Katelyn; brother Cork Wright; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26th at Camden Point Christian Church.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27th at Camden Point Christian Church
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the church.
