Mary Shackelford

Mary Louella Shackelford, 97, of Edgerton, MO passed away, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at her home.

She was born on June 1, 1919 to John Allen and Katherine (Denney) Shackelford near Trimble, MO.  She graduated from Gower High School and later graduated from the College of the Ozarks.  Mary also received her Master’s Degree in Education in Texas.

She was baptized at the Gower Baptist Church.

She taught school for over 30 years in Texas.  She moved to Kansas City in 1990 and in 1998 moved to Edgerton.

Mary is survived by her close friend, Jeanne Barber and husband Paul, of the home; godchildren, David Still and Janet Nash, both of Dallas, TX.

Private Burial was held at Ridgely Cemetery.
