MARY JUSTUS
Mary Ruth Justus, 78, of Polo, MO, passed away, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1927 to David T. and Mary L. (Guinn) Rogers in Melbourne, Missouri. She grew up and attended school in Gashland, Trimble, and Hurdland, Missouri.
In 1943 she married Murrel Shepard. On April 20, 1951 she was united in marriage to W.A. Justus. After their marriage they lived in Trimble, and in 1963 they moved to Polo where they made their home.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Hamilton.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Fern Fulk and Aldyth Beryl Rogers, and one brother, Harold Leon Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, W.A., of the home, one son, Garland R. Shepard and wife, Patricia, Cameron, MO, two grandsons, Patrick Shepard, Columbia, MO, and Michael Shepard and wife, Stephanie, Republic, MO, two great-grandchildren, Simeon and Gwen, one nephew, Larry Fulk, Weatherby, MO, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11th at the Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church, Polo, MO.
Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
Donations may be made to the church.
