Mary Regina (Pratt) Humphrey
Mary Regina Humphrey, 85, of Edgerton, MO, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011.
She was born on February 28, 1925 to Homer Larkin and Mary Regina (Strube) Pratt in Kansas City, MO where she grew up and graduated from Liberty High School. Regina then attended William Jewell College in Liberty.
On June 14, 1946 she was united in marriage to Elmer Ray Humphrey. After their marriage they lived in the Gashland Community later moving to the Smithville area and in 1958 they moved to Edgerton where they made their home. Her husband, Elmer Ray passed away on July 16, 1998.
Regina worked for the Platte County Child Support Division. She was on the board of the Platte Senior Service Center and the OATS Bus. She was also a member of the Gower American Legion and Edgerton Chamber of Commerce. Regina was instrumental in the creation of the Veterans Memorial and the recreational parks in Edgerton. She enjoyed crocheting and creating the costumes for the Union Mill Opry.
She is survived by her children, Dennis E. Humphrey and wife, Kim, Nancy A. Lanzi and husband, Gene, and Gin Wait; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4th at Reed Cemetery, Trimble, MO

The family requests no flowers, donations to Children’s Mercy.
