Mary
Louise Shelton, 65, of Kansas City, KS, formerly of Edgerton, MO passed away
September 17, 2015.
She
was born on August 20, 1950 to Lyle and Wilma (Bywaters) Enslow in Smithville,
MO. Mary grew up and attended school in
Edgerton, MO.
Mary
was united in marriage to Benjamin C. Shelton.
They had two children Toni and David.
Benny passed away in 2003.
Mary
retired from the Social Security Administration Office in Kansas City, MO after
20+ years of service. She loved to read, watch reality TV shows and most of all
spending time with her family.
She
was also preceded in death by her parents.
Mary
is survived by her children Toni (Eddie Brison) Shelton and David (Kobi)
Shelton; grandchildren Mikaela, Mariah, Blake, Ian and Bishop; sister, Lila
(Charles) Woodson; brother, Phillip (Lou) Enslow; several nieces and nephews
other relatives and many friends.
Funeral
Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21st
at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Mary was one of my mates back about 25 years ago – I was one of her BA’s. Mary liked to joke around, and in fact I am fairly certain I was the butt of some of them — it goes with the territory. She was the BIGGEST Elvis fan I ever met, and we did compare notes – she’s a good person, am sorry to hear of her loss (although I sort of lost track of the Kansas City area after I left town).

I was a childhood friend of Mary’s. I now live in one of the houses she grew up in. I have a lot of fond memories of her. I would spend the night with her and we would sneak out and meet our boyfriends and go down to the airport and watch the planes come in. She was a good friend so sad in her passing. My prayers are with you and your sibling.
