Mary Lee Fisher
Mary Lee Fisher, 100, of Kansas City, MO passed away, Thursday, December 13, 2018.
She was born on April 27, 1918 to Archie Edward and Anna Mae (Vance) Hammond in Waldron, MO.
On April 26, 1941 she was united in marriage to Guy Allen Fisher. After their marriage they made their home in Nashua. Her husband, Guy, passed away, September 3, 1969.
Mary Lee worked at the post office in Nashua, the cafeteria at the Nashua grade school and retired from the cafeteria at North Kansas City High School.
Mary Lee Fisher was a member of the Nashua Baptist Church.
Mary Lee was also preceded in death by her son Edward Fisher, and three brothers, Hardy Hammond, Vance Hammond, and Dick Hammond.
She is survived by her daughters, Edna Groom and husband Morris, Independence, MO and Wanda Fisher, of the home; daughter-in-law, Jean Fisher, Smithville, MO; sister, Letha Medek, Independence, MO; five grandchildren, David Fisher, Steven Fisher and wife Missy, Cinda Fisher and husband Troy Paavola, Michele Barrett and husband Randy, and Rhonda Ferrino and husband Rich; five great-grandchildren, Joe, Cody, Richard, Michael, and Matthew; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Platte City Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Nashua Baptist Church or Northcare Hospice.
