Mary Jeanne Christensen, 86, of Kansas City, MO passed away, August 23, 2017 at her
home.

She was born on August 21, 1931 to Homer Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Mowery) Edwards in Kansas City, MO. Mary Jeanne grew up in Smithville and Platte City where she attended school.
On February 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to Ivan L. Christensen. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they made their home. Her husband, Ivan, passed away in 1982.
Mary Jeanne was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of North Heartland Community Church in Kansas City.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bill Edwards, Homer “Buggs” Edwards, Bob Edwards, and Richard Edwards, and grandson, Kenneth Tausch.
Mary Jeanne is survived by her children, Jeanna Tausch and husband Harold, Robert Stiegler and wife Janet, Vicki Cusick and husband Michael; grandchildren, Aaron Stiegler, Bobbi Koen, Jason (Polly) Walker, Jereme Walker, Harold Tausch, and Rikki Lynn Roper; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Koen, Brady Walker, Brooke Walker, Dawson Walker, Madison Walker, Taelor Tausch; several nieces and nephews, other
relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
Burial: Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. .
Visitation: 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the North Heartland Community Church.
