Mary Francis Graham

Mary Francis Graham, 73, of Plattsburg, MO, passed away December 11, 2005 at her home.

She was born on August 29, 1932 to Elmer and Alma (Miller) Clark in Plattsburg where she grew up. Mary graduated from Bartlett High School in St. Joseph, MO. Mary later attended nursing school in St. Joseph.

On May 4, 1951 she was united in marriage to Richard ?Dick? Graham. After their marriage they lived in Plattsburg where they made their home.

Mary retired after 30 years from the St. Joseph State Hospital in March 1991. She then worked at the Gower Convalescent Center and volunteered for Hands of Hope Hospice in St. Joseph for many years.

She was a lifelong member of the Second Baptist Church in Plattsburg.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cora Washington and brother, James Clark.

She is survived by her husband, Richard ?Dick? , of the home, two sons, Larry Graham and wife, Anna, and Gary Graham and wife, Lucia, one daughter, Rhonda Alexander and husband, Ron, all of Plattsburg, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, four sisters, Lora Douglas, Kansas City, MO, Thelma Dorsey, Kansas City, MO, Betty Dorsey, Liberty, MO, and Shirley Clark, Plattsburg, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the Second Baptist Church, Plattsburg
Burial: Mt. Washington Cemetery, Plattsburg.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
Friends may call anytime Thursday or Friday morning at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Donations may be made to her grandson Nathan Close for his Leukemia medical expenses.
