Mary Frances White

Mary Frances White, 91, of Platte City, MO passed away at her home of 59 years on August 14, 2022.

Frances was born on July 2, 1931 and was married on July 31, 1959 to George E. White. She was a stay-at-home mom and raised their three children. 

Frances was a member of the Platte City United Methodist Church. She worked at McDonald’s in Platte City for 25 years as a hostess. She loved her job more than anything visiting with hundreds of customers over the years.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Thomas, her husband, George White, and her son Gordon White.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Della (Lynn) Soendker and Michelle (David) Shipman; sister, Emma Lee Hass; sister-in-law, Pearl Ray; four grandchildren, Jacob Shipman, Ryan, Collin, and Kaylee Soendker; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Frances’s longtime caretakers, Cara Noll and Meredith Domann.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18th at Platte City United Methodist Church, 14040 N Hwy Platte City, MO 64079.

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19th at Platte City United Methodist Church. Burial: Platte City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the church.
