Mary E. Scott

Mary E. Scott, 74, of Smithville, MO, formerly of Stanberry, MO, passed away, Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital.

She was born on October 17, 1932 to Virgil John “Jack” and Anna L. (Lint) Boner in Stanberry, where she attended school and grew up.

On January 24, 1951 she was united in marriage to Bobby Dean “Scotty” Scott. After their marriage they lived in Gentry County, in 1965 they moved to Smithville, and in 1996 they moved to Lowry City. Her husband, Scotty, passed away on September 26, 2004, and Mary later returned to Smithville.

Mary worked for Spelman Memorial Hospital in Smithville for over 23 years.

Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Steve R. Scott, brothers, Clifford Boner and Gene Boner, sisters, Gertie Schaffer and Lola Williams and four infant brothers and sisters.

She is survived by four sons, Gary and Terri Scott, Kansas City, MO, Kevin Scott, Smithville, MO, David and Lori Scott, Kansas City, MO, and Donnie Scott, Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Connie and John Turner, Smithville, MO, and Linda and Bob Chesnut, Edgerton, MO; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Boner, Plattsburg, MO; sister, Rosie Ross, Stanberry, MO; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Burial: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville.

Visitation: 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
