Mary Ann Clark

Mary Ann Clark, 77, of Lee’s Summit, MO formerly of Gower, MO passed away September 23, 2020. 

She was born on January 31, 1943 to Robert Francis and Mary Louisa (Smith) Shumate. Mary Ann graduated from North East High School, in Kansas City, MO.  

On October 6, 1962 she was united in marriage to Dennis P. Clark. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City and in 1972 they moved to Gower, MO where they made their home. Dennis passed away on June 27, 2003.  

Mary Ann enjoyed painting, sewing, and doing puzzles.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Clark, Sr., her grandson Floyd Allen Clark, Jr.; her parents Francis and Mary Shumate; brother Robert E. Shumate and sisters Katherine States and Carroll Overfelt. 

Mary Ann is survived by her children Dennis Clark, Jr. and wife Michelle, Floyd Clark, Sr. and wife Catherine, Theresa Clark and Mary Helton and husband Timothy; grandchildren Christopher, David, Lucas, Sarah, Benjamin, Angela, Caitlynn; nine great-grandchildren; brother Earl Shumate and wife Linda; other relatives and many friends.

Family graveside will be held at Bethel Cemetery

    I love you Mom ❤️. I cannot believe you are gone. I know you are feeling great now and you are with Dad. I want to thank you for giving so much of yourself for us kids. The world will definitely be a different place now. Rest easy I love you and Dad so much. You are together again for eternity.
