Marvin R. Turner
Marvin R. Turner, 82, of Ivy Bend, MO formerly of Kansas City, KS passed away, Friday, February 12, 2016.
He was born on June 11, 1933 to Milton Roe and Elsie Christine (Hund) Turner in Kansas City, Kansas. Marvin attended school in Edgerton, and graduated from Smithville High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Marvin was a machinist at American Can Company, and was also a Manager at Fixture Manufacturer in the Tool and Die Department both in Kansas City, MO. He then moved to California and worked for Lock Keyed where he helped design airplanes. Marvin returned to Kansas City where he worked for Boeing and designed the 747. Marvin then began working for the U.S. Post Office in Kansas City as a machinist. He retired from York Heating and Cooling in Norman, Oklahoma as a Tool and Die designer. Marvin was also a licensed small engine pilot. He was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout Leader and enjoyed raising horses and livestock.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Wallace Turner; great-grandson, Henry Alexander Lynn; sisters, Margaret Searcy and Lydia Pigg; brother, Donald Turner; wives, Joan (Kissick) Turner, Lillian Turner, and Donita Turner.
He is survived by his daughter Brenda Lynn and husband Harold, grandchildren, Chad Turner, Richard Lynn and wife Andrea, and Elvin Lynn; great-granddaughter, Lilith; step-children, Paula, Norita, Janet, Perry, Marty, Jerry, and Shannon; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, MO with visitation until 8:30 p.m.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Rest in peace Marvin. You were in our lives for many years being married to mom (Donita) and you took very good care of her. For this as I have told you before, "Thanks" for taking care of mom and letting me come and take care of both of you for too short of a time. Love you, Janet

Dad, you will be Greatly missed….. You were easy to get along with and I respected so much for taking care of our mom. We know you loved her more then life itself and she would say the say about you.
