Marvin Oliver Beach
Marvin Oliver Beach, 82, of Smithville, MO, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011.
He was born on September 18, 1929 to Silas Oliver and Hassie Lavinia (Steadman) Beach in Choctaw County Mississippi where he grew up and attended school. Marvin then served his country in the US Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant.
He was united in marriage to Irene Palmatree. After their marriage they lived in rural Smithville where they made their home. Irene passed away on October 10, 1986.
Marvin worked as a diesel mechanic for Dean Machinery in Kansas City, MO for 30 years. Marvin was a member of the Smithville American Legion.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Myron Beach, Christine Keene, Allene Spillman, Avis Bundy, Gladys Harrison, Mary Lee Garmon, Opel Dantzler and Ollie Mae Robinette; brother, Melvin Beach and an infant brother Joseph Beach.
Marvin is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn Beach, Harrisonville, MO; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville, Mississippi
