Marti Boydston

Marti Boydston, 56, of Camden Point, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007.

She was born on October 23, 1950 to Morris Glenn and Maxine Lee (Binstead) Winger in St. Joseph, MO. Marti grew up in Stewartsville, MO and graduated from Stewartsville High School. She then attended Missouri Western State College where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. Marti later received her Masters degree at Northwest Missouri State University.

On November 3, 1977 she was united in marriage to Dean Boydston. After their marriage they lived in Camden Point where they made their home.

Marti was an elementary teacher for the North Platte School District. Her family and her students were her world.

She was a member of the Dearborn United Methodist Church. Marti was a very active member of the Community Teachers Association and was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association.

Marti was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ernest “Chig” Boydston.

She is survived by her husband, Dean of the home; daughter, Leigh Boydston and fiancé, Tristen Wilmes; son, Josh Boydston and wife, Cassie, all of Platte City, MO; her parents, Morris and Maxine Winger, Stewartsville, MO; brother, Rob Winger and wife, Robin Leawood, KS; sister, Carol Barclay and husband, Mike, Independence, MO; mother-in-law, Maxine Boydston, Camden Point; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hepler and husband Charlie, Lonnie Boydston and wife, Linda and Mary Park and husband Larry all of Dearborn and Randy Boydston and wife, Cheryl, Camden Point; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday June, 15th at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton, MO.

Burial: Camden Point Cemetery

Visitation: 6:00-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Arrangements: Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton

Donations may be made to the North Platte Scholarship Foundation in her name.
