Martha Jane Curtis

Martha Jane Curtis, 67 of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Kansas City, KS passed away August 19, 2021.

She was born on February 6, 1954, to Charles Boston and Eleanor Mae (Rogers) Cockriel in Trimble, MO. Martha attended school in Plattsburg and Platte City. 

Martha worked for Home Depot and PBI Gordon both in Kansas City. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved butterflies and frequenting thrift stores. Martha was a very strong, independent single mother who will be dearly missed by her son Brian and her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles Cockriel and Larry Cockriel; and sisters Connie Hahn and Dorothy Huckaby.

Martha is survived by her son Brian Neill; brothers and sisters Marie Goad, MaryAnn (Bill) Goad, Marvin (Wanda) Cockriel, Kenny Cockriel, Nancy Jo Cockriel, and Meredith Kay Karman; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22nd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower,
