Mark Stephens

Mark Andrew Stephens, 58, of Topeka, KS formerly of Platte County, MO, passed away September 30, 2020.

 He was born on April 8, 1962.  Mark grew up in Platte County and graduated from Park Hill High School in 1980.   

Mark was an executive chef and an ice sculptor.  He loved being on the river, boating, fishing, and being outdoors.  

He was preceded in death by his father Harold Stephens and his mother LaDel Faulconer. 

Mark is survived by his sons Steven Stephens, Andrew Stephens and Daniel Stephens; brothers and sisters Cheri, Steve, Greg, John, and Tracy; other relatives and many friends.   

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service Friday, October 9th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I use to work with Mark at KC Airport Hilton. Mark did a beautiful ice sculpture for my wedding reception back in 2000. He was such a fun person to work with. Prayers to the family.
