Mark Shanks

Mark Shanks, 32, of Dearborn, MO, passed away, Tuesday, April 24, 2007.

He was born on September 11, 1974 to Larry Wayne and Deborah Diane (Buckler) Shanks in Smithville, MO. Mark grew up in Dearborn and graduated from North Platte High School in 1992. He then attended Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City.

Mark worked for K&M Concrete in Parkville for over 10 years. He bowled for many years at Belt Bowl in St. Joseph, and loved spending time with his friends.

He was a member of the Dearborn United Methodist Church.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, A.J. and Maxine Shanks and Helen Buckler, and two uncles, William Shanks and Ray Buckler.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Deborah Shanks, sister, Gloria Shanks, and grandfather, Truman Buckler and wife, Betty, all of Dearborn, MO; four uncles, Floyd Shanks, Gail Shanks and wife, Sandy, and Steve Buckler and wife, Vicki, all of Dearborn, MO, and Lonnie Buckler and wife, Misti, Camden Point, MO; numerous cousins and many friends.

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, MO.

Burial: Dearborn Cemetery

Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
