Marjorie (Neth) White

Marjorie White, 89, of Smithville, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the home of her son in Kansas City.

She was born on September 16, 1918 to Charles Oscar, Sr. and Irma Cody (Douthitt) Neth in Smithville. Marjorie was raised on the Neth farm in rural Smithville and in 1936 graduated from Smithville High School.

On November 29, 1941 she was united in marriage to Leonard C. White. After their marriage they lived in Trimble, MO where they made their home. Her husband Leonard passed away in 1970. Marjorie later returned to Smithville.

Marjorie worked in the administrative office at the school, for the bank President, Mr. Duncan, TWA, and her most important job was raising her six children.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church’s of Trimble and Smithville where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.

Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, C.O. Neth.

She is survived by her children, Ruth Hiatt and husband Jim, Platte City, MO, Sue Cordell and husband, Bob, Rocklin, CA, Mark White and wife, Sue, Kansas City, MO, Karen Hamill and husband, Kevin, Platte City, MO, Joel White and wife, Donna, Smithville, MO, Jon White and wife, Georgeanna, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Camren Cordell, Lindsay Anderson and husband Eli, Sara Hanlin and husband Shaun, Emily Hamill, Joy White, Cody Wilson and husband, Geoff, Natalie Hiatt, Dustin White, Maggie Hamill, Sam and Eli White; great-grandchildren, Paris Cordell and Chase Hanlin; one brother, Hubert Neth and wife, Barbara, Lee’s Summit, MO; sister-in-law, Shirley Neth, Smithville, MO, several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 16th at First Baptist Church, Smithville. Visitation 12:30-1:30 p.m., prior to the service.

Burial: Green Lawn Cemetery, Plattsburg, MO
