Marjorie Mason

Marjorie Ann (Buckler) Mason, 78, of Platte City, MO passed away, March 9, 2022.

She was born on May 13, 1943 to Willard Dee and Susie Mae (McHughes) Buckler near Weston, MO where she grew up and attended school.

On December 9, 1967 she was united in marriage to June Mason. After their marriage they lived near Camden Point where they made their home. Her husband passed away April 25, 2002.

Marjorie worked outside the home at various times but mostly helped her husband on the farm. She was a hard worker, wonderful cook, loved to play bingo and other games and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Carlos Benson; daughter, Junie Oesterle; and sister, Barbara Davis.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Tina Craft and Stephanie (Jay) Fisher; son-in-law, Carlton Oesterle; sister, Geneva (Gerald) Lindsey; brothers, Phillip (Charlotte) Buckler and John (Vicki) Benson; grandchildren, Brandon (Sydni) Oesterle, Jayson Brightwell, Max Craft, Samuel Craft, Susie (Joe) Hutton and Spencer Fisher; great-grandchildren, Lexis, William, Marley, Novalee, Bentley, Jace, Jaelyn, Jaeda, Ayden, Bryson, and Kiera; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, many friends, and her extended family at Heritage Village.

Memorial Visitation: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.

Inurnment: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO.

 The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Village of Platte City and Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care for their compassionate care and attentiveness.

Casual attire at the Memorial Visitation is welcomed.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, KC Hospice, or the Nursing Home Squad of Platte City, MO c/o Chandra Bradley 7 Atchison Court, Platte City, MO 64079.  Checks may be made payable to Chandra Bradley.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a dinner after the burial, which will be held at Eventful at Locust Grove, 25180 NW County Road JJ, Weston, MO 64098.

    I will always have many happy memories of the years knowing Margie and her family. She is in heaven smiling down T all who knew and loved her. She is at peace now and with her heavenly father. God bless all.
