Marjorie M. Herdman

Marjorie M. Herdman, 88, of Rayville, MO passed away, Saturday, July 16, 2016.

She was born on January 30, 1928 in Booneville, MO where she grew up and graduated from Boonville High School.  Marjorie then attended Warrensburg Teachers College where she received her teaching degree.

In 1948 she was united in marriage to Raymond Herdman.  After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, Ridgely, MO and moved to Rayville where they made their home.  Her husband, Raymond, passed away in 1985.

Marjorie attended Knoxville Community Church in Knoxville, MO.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill King, an infant brother, and two grandsons, Billy Umphfrey and Brian Herdman.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Kenneth Herdman, Donna Childers and husband Fred, Phyllis Umphfrey, and Shari Brock; seven grandchildren, Todd (Abby) Herdman, Tammy (Jerry) Folvarcik, Stacy Roberts, Stephanie (Tim) Barker, Scott (Kristen) Childers, Bobby Umphfrey, and Melissa Bottoms; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, and Edith Chivers; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service:  2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial:  Ridgely Cemetery.
