MARJORIE JOAN BAILEY

Marjorie Joan (McFadden) Bailey, 70, went to be with the Lord April 24, 2006 surrounded by her family near Frisco, Texas. Marjorie and husband Jim moved from St. Louis, MO to Texas 6 years ago.

Mrs. Bailey was born October 3, 1935 to James Lee and Savilla Ruth (Webb) McFadden in Liberty, MO. She graduated from Nurses Training in Independence, MO. Marjorie married Jim Bailey in Smithville, MO in 1957. She graduated with her Bachelors in Nursing in St. Louis, MO, where she and Jim made their long time home. She worked diligently as nighttime nursing supervisor of a 550-bed Christian Northeast Hospital, retiring in Nov. 1990. Marjorie was a devoted wife and loving mother of 3 children.

Marjorie was baptized at Mt. Olivet Christian Church. Her kind spirit of giving, loving and extending herself to others is cherished by those she leaves: her devoted husband, Jim of 48 years; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Bailey of Dubuque, IA; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bob Davis of Little Elm, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jim Woodcock of Flower Mound, TX; and nine grandchildren, Christina, Christopher, Savilla, Jennifer, Dereck, Mathew, Brendan, Patrick, and Brett; sister, Martha Kurtz, Stockbridge, GA, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, and one brother, Richard McFadden.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday April 28th at the Mt. Olivet Christian Church south of Smithville.
Burial: Mt. Olivet Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30-9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville.
