MARJORIE J. BAKER

Marjorie J. Baker, 72, of rural Platte City, MO, passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at her home.

She was born on October 30, 1933 to J.B. and Allie Berniece (Daniel) Stubbs near Camden Point, MO, where she grew up and later graduated from Camden Point High School.

Marge worked for NAIT in Kansas City, retiring after 15 years.

She was a member of the Camden Point Baptist Church.

Marge enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marge is survived by her children, Ron Baker, Platte City, MO, Linda Shanks, Smithville, MO, and David Baker and wife, Carol, Camden Point, MO, seven grandchildren, Josh, Jared, Jennifer, Rachelle, Johnny, Justin and Damien, six great-grandchildren, Austin, Anthony, Andrew, Hailey, Gavin, and Jordan, companion, Owen McKee, of the home, ex-husband, Raymond Baker, North Kansas City, MO, sister, Anna Mary Chesnut, Laurie, MO, and closest friends, Larry and Barbara Walker, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Camden Point Baptist Church, Camden Point, MO, with visitation from 10:00-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Luke’s Hospice.
