Marjorie Georgenia Luttrell
Marjorie Georgenia Luttrell, 90, of Gower, MO, passed away, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Gower Convalescent Center.
She was born on November 22, 1921 to George Glen and Helen Mae (Reed) Gilgour in Rolla, Missouri where she grew up and attended school. She later lived in Kewanee, Illinois and the Kansas City area. In 1984 she moved to Holden, Missouri, and in 2008 Marjorie moved to Gower to live with her daughter.
Marjorie attends the First Baptist Church of Gower.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Henry Smith and Cecil Luttrell; grandson, Dennis Wayne Smith; son-in-law, Lee Barber; and sisters, Helen Stewart and Faye Barnes.
Marjorie is survived by four children, Jeanie Barber, Gower, MO, Alfred Roy Smith and wife Anna Marie, Clinton, MO, Maxine LaVern Cantrell and husband Charles, Hobart, OK and Richard Lee Smith and wife Kathy, Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren, Jim, Michael and Robert Barber, Michelle Herpel, Christine Carter, Charles “Chuck” Cantrell, Cheryl Michaud, Eddie Cantrell and Aaron Lee Smith; twenty-two great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Henderson, Kewanee, IL and Ester Hance, Rolla, MO.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27th at the First Baptist Church in Gower.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
