MARION ISAACS

Marion Isaacs, 83, of Agency, MO, passed away, Friday, August 25, 2006 at his home.

He was born on June 8, 1923 to Lyman Gage and Hazel Maude (Day) Isaacs in Taos, MO. He grew up and attended school in Agency, MO. Marion then served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

On April 24, 1943 he was united in marriage to Virginia McCray. After their marriage they lived in Agency, where they made their home. His wife, Virginia, preceded him in death on March 9, 2005.

Marion worked for General Marine Boat Company in St. Joseph, and retired from North Kansas City Hospital where he worked as a maintenance carpenter.

He was a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Gower, Mo., the Frazier Cemetery Board, and was an avid collector of John Deere toy tractors.

Marion was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, George William Isaacs; two sisters, Virginia McIntyre and Joann Barth; one grandson, John T. Spencer; and one great-granddaughter, Virginia Marie “Ginny” Mynatt.

He is survived by three daughters, Judy Spencer and husband, Bill, Agency, Mo., Connie Friess and husband, Mike, Gower, Mo., and Karen Christensen and husband, Harvey, Gower, MO; five grandchildren, Leslie Taylor and husband Roger, Shane Whiteman & wife Robyn, Richelle Reece & husband Ed, Kara Mynatt & husband Jimmy, Tracy Branstuder and wife, Chrissy; ten great-grandchildren, Lonny, Lindsey, McKaley, Hannah, Cheyenne, Kelsey, Austin, Tyler, Lane, and Ashlynn; two brothers, Gene Isaacs, Nevada, and Jackson Isaacs, St. Joseph, MO, three step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday August 28th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO.
Burial: Frazier Cemetery
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
