Marilyn Troutman
It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Elaine Troutman, 80, of Dearborn, MO announce her passing on November 8, 2020 in Kansas City, MO.
Marilyn was born in Independence, MO to William and Thelma Tremain on September 29, 1940. She went to high school at Fort Osage High School and graduated in 1958. She married Fred L. Troutman on December 2, 1961.
Marilyn spent the majority of her life as an active member of the Dearborn community. Marilyn was a scout leader and room mother. Marilyn’s passion for piano started at a young age. While attending New Salem Church, at the age of 16, she began playing the piano and organ. She continued to play until the age of 78. Marilyn enjoyed talking about the many years she had taught Sunday School at the Dearborn Baptist Church.
Her passion for antiques and baking led her to becoming the owner and operator of both, Lickskillet Antique Mall and Cakes by Marilyn. Later in life, Marilyn and Fred became members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton, MO. Marilyn had a love for flowers, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted Christian and disciple in her faith.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, William and Thelma Tremain; brother, Jack Tremain.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Fred L. Troutman; sons, Richard (Ocena) Troutman and David Troutman; two grandchildren, Megan Troutman and Derek (Rebecca) Troutman. Along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.Because of the COVID restrictions a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The City Union Mission.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Crossroads Hospice Care and Comfortcare for their support in her final days.—–

Avery special lady i lived across the street from her and became very close she was always there for me as i was for her REST IN PEACE DEAR FRIEND YOU WILL BE MISSED
