Marilyn Littlejohn
Marilyn Frances Littlejohn, 87, formerly of Wathena, KS passed away February 2, 2024, at Carriage Square Nursing Home in St. Jospeh, MO.
She was born on November 27, 1936, to John D. and Virginia (Ruoff) Ottinger in St. Jospeh, MO where she grew up and graduated from Central High School. Marilyn attended Missouri Methodist Nursing School where she graduated in May of 1957 as a registered nurse.
She worked as a surgical nurse at both Sister Hospital and Methodist Hospital as well as the State Hospital system all in St. Joseph, MO. Marilyn enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and baking, decorating and selling cakes.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents John and Virginia Ottinger; sister-in-law Mildred Ottinger; and her daughter Kelly Greiner.
She is survived by her sons David (Kay) Littlejohn, of Lemore, CA, Larry (Bonnie) Littlejohn of Longwood, FL, and Stephen (Linda) Littlejohn of Troy, KS; son-in-law Garland Greiner of Walseburg, CO; grandchildren Felisha Littlejohn, Christopher Littlejohn and Logan Cusick; brother Vernon Ottinger of Agency, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday February 9th at the funeral home.
Burial: Frazier Cemetery

I have been missing her and thinking of both Marilyn and Kelly sense my wife past . Marilyn was a big part of our lives for ever, I’ll miss her truly. Marilyn was very talented in so many arts, I remember her painting with Bob Ross on the television and still have her paintings hanging on the walls and needle point art and just so much more. Also she played solitaire on her laptop and read on Nook book everyday.i hope everyone finds peace , Garland Greiner

David, Larry, Stephen and families. I am so truly sorry for your loss. Your mother, Marilyn was a precious, wonderful lady. Always giving, and caring for others. We both lived in St Joseph, worked together at SJSH for many years and raised our children in the same community.. We continued to keep in touch over the years. I will miss her. You are all in our thoughts and prayers..
