Marilyn Ann Hamilton

Marilyn Ann Hamilton, 81, of Smithville, MO formerly of Princeton, MO passed away March 10, 2018.
 
She was born on September 11, 1936 to Russell Roy and Anna Frances (Kopf) Brod in Nebraska City, NE.  Marilyn grew up in Princeton, MO and in 1954 she graduated from Princeton High School.
 
On June 5, 1954 she was united in marriage Albert Cloyde “Barney” Hamilton.  After their marriage they lived in rural Princeton where they made their home.  Her husband Barney passed away on December 20, 2010.  Marilyn moved to Smithville in 2013 to be closer to her family.
 
She was a member of the Modena Christian Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting, baking, gardening and being outdoors taking care of all kinds of animals.  Marilyn was a very caring, nurturing person who above all loved her family. 
 
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Ann Brod, her husband Barney Hamilton and her brothers Eugene Brod and Dwight Brod.
 
She is survived by her children Melissa Hamilton Wilson and husband Ken, Smithville, MO, Tim Hamilton and wife Sue, Independence, MO and Lora Hamilton Swan and husband John, Savannah, MO; grandchildren Rebecca (Daniel) Bounds, Jacob Hamilton, Michael Justin (Tracey) Wilson, Desirae Swan; great-grandchildren Maddie, Emily, Kaitlyn, Jaxon and one on the way; sister Darlene Edwards; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.   
 
Memorial Service:  2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17th at Modena Baptist Church in Modena, MO
Inurnment will be held at Hamilton Cemetery, Modena, MO
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hamilton Cemetery
Arrangements by Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
