Marie (Molder) Stagner

Marie Stagner, 77, of Stewartsville, MO, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011.

She was born on September 23, 1934 to Homer Lee and Hazel Bernice (Kennedy) Molder in Humansville, MO. Marie grew up in Plattsburg and graduated from Plattsburg High School.

On December 27, 1954 she was united in marriage to Cecil Ray Stagner. After their marriage they lived in rural Dekalb and Clinton Counties and later settled in the Stewartsville area. Her husband passed away March 22, 2002. Since that time Marie developed many lasting friendships with the residents and caregivers at Clinton Care and Rehab in Plattsburg, MO.

Marie was a longtime member of the Browning Baptist Church in Turney. She was a homemaker, an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed mushroom hunting.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, William David Stagner, sisters, Faye Dale, Beatrice Gardner, and Barbara Dickey; brothers, J.D. Molder and John Molder.

She is survived by her son, Ray Lee Stagner, Independence, MO, honorary son, Darrell Morgan, Plattsburg, MO; five daughters, Sharon Pickens, Wheatland, MO, Rita Sheppard, St. Joseph, MO, Joy Tuey, Gower, MO, Dorothy Nguyen, Buffalo, MO, and Alice Stagner, St. Joseph, MO; twenty-two grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Virgil Molder, Troy, KS, and Wayne Molder, Gladstone, MO; sisters, Dixie Tarr, Kansas City, KS and Bonnie Powers, Hobbs, NM; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3^rd at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial: Allen Cemetery

Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
