Marie Goad
Florence Marie Goad, 86, of Edgerton, MO passed away, January 24, 2025.
She was born on January 15, 1939 to Charles Boston and Elenora May (Rogers) Cockriel near Edgerton, MO. Marie later graduated from high school.
On May 2, 1959 she was united in marriage to Bobbie Frank Goad. After their marriage they made their home in Edgerton. Her husband, Frank, preceded her in death on September 28, 2019.
Marie was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed visiting with her family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Wayne Goad and Wesley Goad; grandson, Jon Johnson; sisters and brothers, Dorothy Huckaby, Martha Jane Curtis, Nancy Jo Cockriel, Connie Sims, Charles Cockriel, and Larry Cockriel.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Janet (Steve) Art; grandchildren, Rebecca and Jessica Art and Danny Goad; several great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Maryann (Bill) Goad, Marvin (Wanda) Cockriel, Kenny Cockriel, and Kay Carman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve (Beverly) Goad, Ella Dunham and Joyce (Gary) Burke; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, MO with Graveside Service following at Ridgely Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the cemetery.
