Margaret Starnes
Margaret Starnes, 85, of Smithville, MO passed away, Saturday, February 9, 2019.
She was born on November 21, 1933 to Harry and Zula (Dempsey) Wood in Delaware, Arkansas. Margaret grew up in and attended school in Ferda, Arkansas.
On December 20, 1952 she was united in marriage to William Donald Starnes. After their marriage they lived in Smithville, MO where they made their home.
Margaret was a devout Christian. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Buddy and Sonny Wood; sister Jo Crutchfield; her son, Scott Starnes, and her great-grandchildren, Elijah Starnes and Silas and Eva Miles.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; children, Dan (Robin) Starnes, Gary (Robin) Starnes, and Susan Starnes; grandchildren, Chris, Jami, Kimber, Rachel, Angel, Ciara, Sergio, and Candace; many great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Wood; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday, Feb 13th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville, followed by a Graveside Service at Terrace Park Cemetery.
