Margaret Mary “Rita” (McCrory) Carr
Margaret Mary "Rita" Carr, 76, of Smithville, MO, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Monday, February 2, 2009.
She was born on February 27, 1932 to Henry Sarsfield and Rose Frances (Jakum) McCrory in Chicago, Illinois where she grew up. Margaret graduated from Fenger High School in Chicago.
On August 6, 1953 she was united in marriage to Orville C. Carr. After their marriage they lived in Kansa City, MO where they made their home. Orville passed away in 1977. Margaret later moved to Ferrelview and in 1999 moved to Smithville.
Margaret worked as an insurance clerk for several companies including the Dotson Insurance Company in Kansas City.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Patrick McCrory.
Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law Joan Panozzo, Gary Indiana; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Burial was held at Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
