Margaret Louise (Hall) Gibson

Margaret Louise (Hall  Gibson, 93, of Gower, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, MO passed away, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

 

She was born on April 2, 1919 to Carl and Wilmoth (Sappington) Nichols in Ashland, MO where she grew up and later graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO.

 

In 1937 she was united in marriage to William L. Hall.  After their marriage they lived in Seamore, MO, Paris, MO, Springfield, MO and Bryan, Texas.  In 1952 they moved to St. Joseph where they made their home.  Her husband William passed away in 1963.

 

In 1984 she was united in marriage to Dale Gibson and after their marriage they lived in Gower.

 

Margaret was a beautician for many years and she attended the Gower Christian Church.

 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons; William Ellis Hall and Charles Daniel Hall, daughter; Mary Katherine Wells  and step-son, Tom Gibson.

 

She is survived by her husband Dale of the home, daughters; Ann Simpson and husband, Virgil, St. Joseph, MO and Emma Smith husband, Lester , Blue Springs, MO, 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, sister; Barbara Brune, Ashland, MO,  step-sons;  Delbert Gibson and wife Ann, West Plains, MO and James Gibson and wife, Kim, Oklahoma City, OK, step-daughter; Nancy Collins and husband Clay, Lafayette, TN, ten step-grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

FUNERAL SERVICE:  11:00 A.M., Wednesday, Feb. 20th, at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO

BURIAL:  Mt. Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO

VISITATION:  6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
