Margaret Jeanette (Sullivan) Mauzey

Margaret Jeanette Mauzey, 88, of Smithville, MO passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital.

She was born on June 19, 1921 to Harry and Maude (Adkins) Sullivan in Smithville, Missouri where she grew up and graduated from Smithville High School.

On September 9, 1940 she was united in marriage to Alvin Lawson “Hick” Mauzey. After their marriage they lived near Smithville where they farmed and made their home. Her husband passed away in 1994.

She worked for National Bellas Hess in North Kansas City, at McPherson Grocery Store in Smithville, and also sold Avon.

Jeanette was a member of the Christian Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Bill Rogers.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Kay Rogers, Smithville; granddaughter, Cindy Smith and husband, Bob, Lathrop; grandson, Danny Rogers, Smithville; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Amy and Ashley; great-great-grandchildren, Mckayla and Jayden; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22^nd at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial: Smithville Memorial Cemetery
