Margaret Farnsworth
Margaret Farnsworth's life journey ended Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the age of 88 years old.
She was born Nov. 14, 1923 in Valentine, Arizona, the sixth of seven children. As a child she aspired to have an adventurous life and she lived one. In 1942 during WW II she met and married Lt. Joseph Holley Farnsworth, a talented photographer, businessman, and traveler. After living in Seattle during the war the couple moved back to Joplin, Missouri where they worked as a team for several years running the family business, Farnsworth Florists and later the Joplin Piano Company. They lived in Joplin for 40 years until retiring to Sun City Center, Florida in 1986. . Margaret was active in Joplin's First Community Church, PEO, Women's Club, Community Concerts, Joplin Little Theater and Ozark Area Girl Scout Council where she served as a troop leader.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean Farnsworth Shoemaker and husband James of Kansas City, MO, Carol Farnsworth Hunt and husband James Mark Hunt of Detroit, MI, and Margo Farnsworth (Pascoe) and husband James of Smithville, MO, and two grandchildren, Laird Shawn Lindsey, and Carly Hannah Pascoe. Margaret was a remarkable woman who made many friends and would have liked to say goodbye to them all.

Private family services will be held.
