Margaret (Buckley) Willis

Margaret Willis, 83, of Grayson, MO passed away, Thursday, March 27, 2014.

 

She was born on July 25, 1930 to Charles and Louella (Violett) Buckley in Grayson, MO.  She grew up in Grayson and graduated from Gower High School in 1948.

 

On August 14, 1948 she was united in marriage to Joe Willis.  After their marriage they lived in Grayson where they made their home.  Her husband, Joe, passed away December 13, 2010.

 

Margaret worked at Missouri Water and Steam Supply and JC Penney in St. Joseph.  She was a school bus driver for the East Buchanan School District for about 30 years. 

 

Margaret was a member of the Edgerton Christian Church and recently attended Dearborn Christian Church.  She enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, painting, watching birds and was a 4-H leader.

 

She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Virginia Ann and Brenda Sue; siblings, Ola Foster, Dannie Buckley and Joe Buckley.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Willis, Independence, MO and Linda M. Taylor and husband Jimmy, Grayson, MO; two grandchildren, Andrea Robertson and husband Eric and James Taylor; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Emmy Digenan and Betty Cheek; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service:  2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial:  Grayson Cemetery, Grayson, MO.
