Mabel V. (Walters) Auxier

 

Mabel V. Auxier, 72, of Gower, MO passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home.

 

She was born on June 10, 1941 to George Henry and Florence Henrietta (Pobanz) Walters in Angleton, TX.  She grew up in St. Joseph and Graduated from Central High School.  She later attended Platte Gard College in St. Joseph.

 

On May 14, 1960 she was united in marriage to Charles Auxier.  After their marriage they lived in Gower were they made their home

.

Mabel worked for Westab, American Family, Crouch’s Trucking and Quaker Oats.  She enjoyed spending her time fishing and cooking for her family.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Walters, sister Doris Combs and grandson Chris Auxier.

 

Mabel  is survived by her husband Charles; children, Kim Utz, Kelley Tripp, Eric Auxier and wife Beth and Cory Auxier and wife Kelley; grandchildren, Josh Utz and wife Annie, Matt Utz and wife Stephanie, Zach Tripp, Nick Tripp and wife Stephanie, Emily Auxier, Eli Auxier, Cody Auxier, Ethan Auxier, and Kyndal Auxier; great-grandchildren, Carson Utz and Cordelia Utz; sisters, Virginia Halter and Barbara Davis; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 11th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Visitation:  6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial:  Allen Cemetery
