Mabel Linch

MABEL LINCH

Mabel E. Linch, 98, of Winston, MO, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away, January 5, 2006 in Gower, where she resided for the past nine years.

Mabel was born on March 15, 1907 to John Robert and Lottie Elizabeth (Benjamin) Stewart in Portis, KS. She later moved with the family to Winston in 1913 where she grew up. After starting her nursing career in St. Joseph, Mabel married Hobart Linch of Clarksdale. They resided in Kansas City where Mabel was a nurse at Lakeside Hospital until she retired. Mr. Linch passed away in 1966.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Frank, Howard, and Everett Stewart and two sisters, Susan Estes and Minnie Stewart.

Mabel is survived by two nephews, Donald Stewart, Colbert, WA, and P.A. Stewart, Claremont, CA, also a grandnephew, Roger Ingram, Kearney, NE, and a grandniece, Cheryl Campbell, Seattle, WA.

Graveside Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13th at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.
Visitation: 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO.
