Louis Eugene “Gene” Grime

 

Our family mourns the loss of our wonderful and beloved husband and father, Louis “Gene” Grime.

 

Gene was born July 3, 1938 in Sumer, Missouri to Louis and Bernice Grime.  He lived most of his life in St. Joseph, MO moving to Kansas City 15 years ago.  He retired from Altec Industries in 1998 and Brinks Armoured in 2011.

 

He is survived by his wife, Margery; his two sons, Brett and Shawn Grime.  He is also survived by his stepchildren, Juli Messick and Mark and Eric Hovey who he loved and cherished as his own.  His adored granddaughter, Hailey Grime and fifteen step-grandchildren.  He leaves his sister, Brenda Grime and brothers, Robb, Larry, and Don Grime.

 

He was the safe harbor and calm and loving presence in all our lives and his memory will be our anchor.  Gene loved the Lord and left all things in His hands, knowing His love endures forever. 

 

Private Family Graveside services will be held at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Fond memories may be left at www.hixson-kleinfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Northland Cathedral Benevolent Fund, 101 NW 99^th St. Kansas City, MO 64155.
