Louanna Williams

Louanna Jean Williams, 101, of Dearborn, MO passed away December 31, 2023.

She was born on September 14, 1922, to Edward Ray and Lucy Jean (Sowders) Stalder in NewMarket, MO where she grew up and attended school.

On December 13, 1938, she was united in marriage to Virgil Hale Williams in Leavenworth, KS.After their marriage they lived in Dearborn where they made their home. On October 30, 1990, her husband passed away.

Louanna worked for 28 years at Waggoner Mercantile Agency as a debt adjuster, retiring in1998, and she also worked at United Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. Louanna was a member of the Christian Church of Cameron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Harlan Ray Stalder; son Vernon Lee Williams, Sr.; and three great-grandsons.

Louanna is survived by three sons Marion Ray “Bum” Williams and wife Sherrow of Edgerton, MO, William Hale Williams and wife Judy of Platte City, MO and Larry Joe Williams and wifeBetty of Edgerton, MO; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation 12:30-1:30 p.m. with Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 5th at the DearbornCommunity Center.

Burial: Dearborn Cemetery

Donations may be made to Three Rivers Hospice or the Dearborn Community Food Bank.
