LORENE BARTON

Lorene Barton, 79, of Gower, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, May 3, 2005.

She was born in April 18, 1926 to Harry Hobert and Lottie Minerva (Swindler) Mann in Plattsburg, Mo. She grew up in Lathrop, Mo., and in 1945 graduated from Gower High School.

On May 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Clifford Joe Barton. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Gower and Agency areas. Her husband, Joe, preceded her in death on September 13, 2003.

Lorene was a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Gower, Mo., and a member of United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Stamper Club in Frazier.

Lorene was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leasol Mann, one sister, Marie George, two nieces and one nephew.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Barton and wife, Sue, and William Gregg Barton, all of St. Joseph, Mo., and Michael Barton and wife, Sherri, Rosendale, Mo., eight grandchildren, Joshua and wife, Dana, Nicholas and wife, Hanna, Jessica and husband, Wes, Alicia and husband, Jeff, Erica, Jeremy, Tiffany, and Elliott, ten great-grandchildren, Aspen, Jewell, Zachary, Gage, Wyatt, Trent, Mason, Grace, Hayvin, and Dylan, two sisters, Helen Berniece Stanaland and husband, Jim, Gower, Mo., and Lamoygne McDowell and husband, Dallas, Joplin, Mo., and one brother, Bill Mann and wife, Wanda, Gower, Mo., numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 6th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, Mo.
Visitation: 6:00-9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral Home
