Lonnie Thomas
Albert L. Thomas, Jr. passed away on November 10, 2022 at the age of 91.
He was born on January 9, 1931 to Bernice and Albert Thomas, Sr. in Atchison, Kansas where he grew up.
On August 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Rosalee Hines. They settled in Gower in 1965 where they made their home.
He served in the Air Force as a pilot. After his service, he attended University of Kansas where he graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After college he moved to California and then to Texas to work for Lockheed Martin before returning to the area, where he worked for and retired from TWA.
Lonnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, playing cards with his friends, and sharing the bounty of his large garden with friends in the summer.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his wife.
He is survived by his son, Mark Thomas and wife Amber; two grandchildren, Maddux and Isabelle;, his daughter, Ann Merise Brock and husband Terry; his brother Douglas Thomas; his sisters Louisa May Leintz and Dottie Pohlman; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Inurnment at a later date: Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO.
