Sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed. I remember the good times and her good cooking especially her morning pancakes and her special cornbread.

My mother Irma Northway Mefford spoke of these folks many times when I was growing up. Cousin Rita stayed with us for a short while one summer. I was about 5 yrs old and she was a little older. It sounds like Effie had a full life and one of great value. My condolences on your loss. I can be reached by email creativechar@gmail.com. My parents (Ray and Irma Mefford) and brothers Bufford, Max, Russell are all deceased now — its just me left. I noticed that Esther Spurgeon passed away the other day. This is the only way I have of reconnecting with you all if anyone is interested.
