Lloyd P. Auxier

Lloyd P. Auxier, 79, of Easton, MO made his heavenly journey on September 13, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 19, 1937 to Floyd F. and Hazel (Mitchell) Auxier in Easton, MO.  He attended school in Gower and graduated in 1956.  Lloyd served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1959 to 1965.

On October 24, 1961 he was united in marriage to Loretta J. McClellan.  Lloyd worked numerous jobs including:  Armours for 23 years and Peachtree Window and Door for 8 years. 

Lloyd was a kind-hearted, hard-working, and honest man with a wonderful sense of humor.  He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lavern and Laveen, and his son, Michael Auxier.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Loretta Auxier, of the home; children, Rita McCravey, Easton, Rebecca Stowell, Kansas City, Mark Auxier and wife Kelley, King City; eight grandchildren, Tabatha Auxier (Elliott), Philip (Julie) Austin, Billy McCravey, Tanya (James) Studli, Ronnie (Amber) Auxier, Tina (Raymond) Williams, Adam Auxier, and Justin (Becky) Auxier; nine great-grandchildren, Samantha, Donny, Eddie, Emma, Ethan, Lilley, Trista, Riley, and Corey; four sisters, Hila Foster, Lola Miller, Shirley McDowell, and Betty Walker; four brothers, Lowell, Archie, Eldon, and Gary; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services:  10:00 a.m. Friday, September 16th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial:  Allen Cemetery, Gower.

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    I’m so sorry for such a loss to the family. I loved and still this great man even though I never showed it, was and still is the very closest man I’ve ever had in my life that I surely looked up to as a father figure. That he sure was to many!!! Dad, I love and miss you greatly!! Better give heaven some of that sense of humor!!! To the family: I’m so sorry I just found this out,I miss you all dearly and think of you all often. Love you all still very much.. The greatest family I will ever know in my lifetime!!! Deep Sorrows,
