ERVIN HEATH
Lloyd Ervin Heath, 78, of Edgerton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at North Kansas City Hospital.
He was born on September 21, 1926 to Charles Graham and Mary Jane (Herdman) Heath in the Little Platte Community where he grew up. Ervin later graduated from Smithville High School.
On May 31, 1947 he was united in marriage to Mabel Pearl Reeves. After their marriage, Ervin served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge they lived in Smithville. In 1981 they moved to rural Edgerton where they made their home. His wife, Mabel preceded him in death on July 15, 2000.
Ervin retired from TWA in Kansas City in 1987.
He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Christian Church in Smithville, the Smithville Masonic Lodge #438 where he had served as Past Master, and the VFW Post #5606 in Kansas City.
Ervin was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one son, Michael Heath and wife, Karen, Edgerton, one grandson, Michael C. Heath and wife, Ann, Trimble, Mo., three brothers, Charles Melvin Heath, Independence, Mo., Cecil Heath, Trimble, Mo., Leonard Heath, Edgerton, one sister Joanne Harlan, Potomac, Md., several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Burial with Military Honors: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville.
Masonic Service: 6:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with visitation following until 8:30 P.M.
Donation: American Heart Association or the Mt. Olivet Christian Church.
