Lloyd Arthur Simmons, Sr.

Lloyd Arthur Simmons, Sr., 73, of Tracy, MO, passed away, Thursday, October 18, 2007.

He was born on January 2, 1934 to William T. and Frances Elizabeth (Brown) Simmons in Tracy, where he grew up and attended school.

On November 7, 1953 he was united in marriage to Esther Iona Storey. After their marriage they lived in Tracy where they made their home. His wife, Esther, passed away, June 8, 2007.

Lloyd was a mechanic for most of his life. He loved go carts, derby’s and working on lawn mowers.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Rose Marie Jolly; three brothers, Charles, Hosey, and Louis Simmons; and two sisters, Rosie Wallingford and Frances Storey.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Elizabeth Hawkins and husband, Lynn, Camden Point, MO, Lloyd Simmons, Jr. and wife, Jill, Tracy, MO, Gary Simmons and wife, Lorraine, Kansas City, MO, Peggy West and husband, Rick, Tempe, AZ, grandchildren, Joseph Hawkins and fiance, Jill Fitzsimmons, Travis Webster, Brandon Simmons, and Rikki West; one brother, Norman Simmons, Kansas City, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21^st at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Edgerton.

Cremation will follow the visitation.
