LLOYD ALBERTSON
Lloyd Albertson, 80, of Nixa, MO, formerly of Agency, MO, passed away, Thursday, October 26, 2006 at his home.
He was born on February 1, 1926 to Benjamin Franklin and Bertha Mae (Copple) Albertson in Agency, MO, where he grew up and attended high school. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge he returned to Agency.
He was united in marriage to Wilma Jane Cromer. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, MO, and in 1973 they moved to Nixa, MO, where they made their home.
Lloyd worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Kansas City, MO for 20 years, and Lily Tulip in Springfield, MO for 15 years.
He was a member of the Agency Christian Church, the VFW Post #5717 in Kearney, MO, and was a Union Steward for Local Union 1553 IBEW for many years.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Agnes Bushong, one brother, Robert Albertson, one daughter, Mary Ella Anson, two sons-in-law, Tommy Shives and Bo Gossett.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma, of the home, children, Robert Albertson and wife, Betty, Collins, MO, JoAnn Chettinger and husband, Curt, Phoenix, AZ, Paul Albertson, Ozark, MO, Sherry Wright and husband, Bennie, Smithville, MO, Janet Shives, Shidler, OK, and JoAnn Gossett, Tulsa, OK, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday October 30th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO.
Burial with military honors: Agency Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
