Linda Rule
Linda Rule, 76, of Smithville, MO passed away, January 4, 2025.
She was born on May 8, 1948 to Clarence Estil and Sylvia Veronica in Smithville, MO. Linda grew up in Paradise and graduated from Smithville High School.
On November 3, 1967 she was united in marriage to James William Rule. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, Jimmy, preceded her in death on December 27, 1997.
Linda worked for Mobil Oil Corporation for over 20 years.
She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Smithville, MO. She enjoyed bible study with the “Cackling Hens.”
Linda was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, John Wilhoit, Harry Wilhoit and Elmer Wilhoit; sisters, Anne Aker, Mary Quinn and Shirley Snow; daughter-in-law, Amanda Rule; great-grandchildren, Hope and Zane Evans, and Emilie’s twins.
Linda is survived by her children Mike Rule (Alissa Batliner) and Roni Baca (Eric Ferry); son-in-law, Carlos Baca; grandchildren, Bryce, Chris, Emilie, Marissa, Jeni, Cole, Jordyn, Lexi, Drey, and Lili-Auna; fifteen great-grandchildren; her dog, Papi; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
Burial: Paradise Cemetery, Paradise, MO.
Donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
