Linda Lee (Butterworth) Stout

Linda L. Stout, a longtime resident of Smithville, MO, died March 27, 2009 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri from complications of Diabetes.

Linda was born on June 19, 1947 in Greensburg, PA.

Linda cared for children in her home for many years, she was known to them as “Nanny.”

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys M. Walker, her father, James Henry Butterworth, and her brother, William Butterworth.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Jane Martin, Trimble, MO; three grandchildren, Anthony Martin, Cecila Martin, and Zachary Martin, Smithville, MO; two sisters, Carol Butterworth, Kansas City, MO, and Helen Kimmel, Greensburg, PA; four brothers, James Butterworth, Del Ric, TX, Charles Butterworth, Kansas City, MO, Wallace Butterworth, Smithville, MO, and Paul Butterworth, Osceola, MO.

It was Linda’s wish that there be no formal Memorial Service but rather a Celebration of her Life to be observed by friends and family at a future date.

The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
