Linda D. Wichmann

 

Linda D. Wichmann, 56, of Smithville, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, MO and Shawnee, Kansas, passed away, Saturday, June 30, 2007.

She was born on January 28, 1951 to John and Amanda Mary (Hasencamp) Brucken in Kansas City, Mo., where she grew up. In 1969 she graduated from Lillis High School and later attended UMKC.

On May 8, 1971 she was united in marriage to John Wichmann. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, then Shawnee, Ks. and in 2005 moved to the Smithville area.

Linda worked as a dental assistant for many years in the Kansas City area.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Churches in Shawnee and Smithville.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with her grand-kids and grand-dog Kate and was a devout Husker Fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Brucken and a sister Kathleen Campbell.

Linda is survived by her husband, John, of the home; three children, Clint Wichmann, Kansas City, MO., Amanda Smith and husband Corey, Leawood, KS, and John Paul Wichmann, Shawnee, Ks.; two grandchildren, Marcus and Ava Smith; three sisters, Susan Zager, Kansas City, Ks., Mary Ann Hueser and husband, Jeff, Lawson, MO., and Donna Brucken, Kansas City, Ks., several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

FUNERAL MASS: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 3rd, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Smithville, Mo.

ROSARY: 6:30 P.M., Monday, with Visitation following until 9:00 P.M. at the church.

Private Family Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.

Arrangements: Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Donations: American Cancer Society or Arthritis Foundation
