Lester Harold Williams

Lester H. Williams, 65, of Goodman, MO, formerly of Osborn, MO passed away, Friday, May 30, 2014.

 

He was born on May 5, 1949 to Lonnie Edward and Dorothy Grace (McGlothlin) Williams near Osborn, MO. Lester grew up near Osborn and graduated from Osborn High School.  He then served his country in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War.

 

He was united in marriage to Ruth (Hite) Williams.  After their marriage they lived most of their life in southern Missouri where he worked for several farmers in the area.

 

Lester was a member of the Christian faith.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eldon Lee Williams, Ivan Ray Williams and Norman Dale Williams, three sisters, June Rose, Olive Viola Williams and Grace Stillwell, and infant sisters, Golda and Joyce.

 

Lester is survived by his wife, Ruth of the home; step-daughter, Emily Cooksey; two step grandchildren, David and Tiffany; two brothers, Clarence Herbert Williams and wife Julie, Petaluma, CA and Oliver Wayne Williams and wife Janet, Harlingen, TX; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Services:  2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
